According to İhlas News Agency (İHA), a charity bazaar was held in Gaziantep’s Karkamış district on May 7, 2025, to support Gaza and East Turkistan. As reported by Beşni Ekspres, the event, aimed at fostering solidarity, featured the sale of various kebabs, traditional desserts, and homemade dishes. The bazaar attracted considerable public interest, and it was announced that all proceeds would be donated to those in need in Gaza and East Turkistan. The organizers expressed their satisfaction with the strong public support and extended their gratitude to all participants.
Protest March by Students in Yozgat
As reported by Milliyet newspaper, students from Yozgat Bozok University organized a march on May 7, 2025, to protest Israel’s attacks on Gaza and human rights violations in East Turkistan. Organized by Genç İHH Yozgat and the Pusula Youth Community, the event began in front of the central cafeteria building and concluded at the Erdoğan Akdağ Congress and Culture Center. The students carried Palestinian and East Turkistan flags along with banners, conveying a message of unity against oppression. Ramazan Ali Akın, President of the Pusula Youth Community, emphasized that standing against injustice is a fundamental human responsibility.
Meaningful Support from Children in Karabük
According to Yeni Şafak newspaper, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, children in Karabük, led by the Karabük Branch of the Humanitarian Aid Foundation (İHH), held a march to protest Israel’s attacks on Gaza and show support for East Turkistan. The march began in front of Yenişehir Mosque and ended on Kemal Güneş Street. The children carried Turkish and Palestinian flags along with placards. Emir Bayır, a member of the İHH Karabük children’s team, delivered a statement highlighting the plight of children living under war and fear. The event concluded with the recitation of the poem “Hold My Hand, Jerusalem” and a freedom dance accompanied by the song “Leve Palestina.”
These events, held in various cities across Türkiye, strengthened the spirit of solidarity with the people of Gaza and East Turkistan, demonstrating the public’s unity against oppression.
