The inhumane practices that China has been carrying out in East Turkestan for years are coming to light with new testimonies. While women, children, and the elderly are subjected to severe torture in concentration camps, mosques are being demolished and cemeteries are being destroyed. Uyghur Turks are being systematically assimilated. The Islamic world and the international community, however, continue to remain silent in the face of this great persecution. An ancient nation is being erased from history before our very eyes! Here is the article by journalist and author Halis Özdemir, titled "The East Turkestan Reality: Persecution Behind the Silence," which will leave a deep mark on hearts and will not be erased from memories.

A Deathly Silence in East Turkestan
While an Ancient Nation is Being Destroyed!
The tragic stories of Uyghurs searching for their children, wives, siblings, fathers, and mothers!
And Uyghurs are leaving Turkey, I wonder why!?
While a genocide with methods rarely seen is taking place in East Turkestan, the world is silent, humanity is silent!
The voice of an ancient nation is not being heard—a nation whose mosques are demolished, cemeteries ravaged, children taken from their hands, men arrested, women arrested and raped, organs stolen, and properties confiscated!
While the blind and deaf are being played, a nation is subjected to genocide.
Unimaginable practices and stories are coming to light despite all obstructions!
As told by Gülbahar Jelilova: “In the camp, there were women from 14 to 80 years old. They had committed no crime; they were arrested on trumped-up charges. The place where we stayed had no windows. The toilet was in an open corner of the ward. There was no water, and performing ablution was forbidden. A part of our room was covered with wood; we would take turns lying on the wood to rest. While some of us lay on the floor, the others waited standing because there was no place to sit. Every morning, they demanded we strip naked and made us do exercises. They would choose some of us, take them away, and rape us. There were women who lost their minds because their babies were taken from them. There was a hole in the ward door; they made us extend our arms through it and gave us injections. We didn't know what was in them or why they were given. There was no one inside who had not been raped….” To add another blood-curdling story to her chilling experiences, let's record another example of people's destruction in history, listening to the confession from the mouth of an operative who witnessed it firsthand!
The operation carried out against the Uyghurs would not even occur to the devil!
Shocking Confession from a Former Chinese Security Officer: “The Incident I Witnessed in 2008 Changed My Life”
A new testimony regarding the security operations conducted by China in East Turkestan has shed light on the systematic genocide that has been ongoing in the region for years. An X user named Liu lang jun (六郎君), a former police officer who retired from the Chinese Armed Police Force (武警) in 2012, shared a message with a striking confession about his time on duty in 2008.
The witness’s statements: “I am an armed police officer who retired in 2012 after serving 12 years in Xinjiang (East Turkestan). I want to share a story about an operation that took place in 2008. The operation was roughly as follows. That day, our company commander asked us to go to the prison to pick up some detainees. After we went, we were required to change them into PLA uniforms. I was surprised. I asked the company commander again what was happening. He told us not to ask. After changing the prisoners' clothes, the company commander told us to dress like locals; in Muslim robes and headscarves. He then separated us from the uniformed prisoners and said we would carry out our mission. When we arrived at the mission site, he told us to get our equipment from the luggage. There were a total of eight backpacks, there were eight of us, and they were filled with Molotov cocktails. Then he gave us the operation instructions.
“I Understood the Real Purpose of the Operation Later”
We were told that four escaped prisoners disguised as PLA soldiers were passing through our area. When they reached the ambush point, the eight of us were to throw Molotov cocktails at them and set them on fire. Furthermore, our mission was to ensure the deaths of these four individuals. So, the four prisoners disguised as PLA soldiers came nearby, and the eight of us ran to them. When I saw them, I realized they looked familiar. I thought they were the four people we had taken out of the prison. Then we set them on fire with Molotov cocktails and made sure they were dead. I was stunned at the time, wondering why this was happening. I thought it was a staged show. The next day, I saw a news report that four PLA soldiers had been attacked and killed by eight Uyghurs. That same day, our entire unit was urgently assembled to go to the scene to ‘maintain stability.’ When I got out of the car and saw the scene, I was shocked. The eight of us had burned the four prisoners to death there. There was a village nearby. Our instructor insisted that the eight terrorists had connections to the village. The villagers were forced to hand over eight men. Of course, the villagers were unaware of our secret operation. So the captain ordered everyone in the village to be arrested.
“I Witnessed the Destruction of a Village”
The next day, we were urgently gathered for an operation and we rounded up the entire village, including children and the elderly. The village was almost wiped off the map. After retiring from the army, I visited the area again and saw that even the houses had been demolished. Nothing was left. This experience also influenced my decision to leave the army. Years later, I learned the reason for this mission. The reason for the ban on grazing in the villages in Xinjiang (East Turkestan) was the 2008 Beijing Olympics. When government officials went to inform the village, an argument broke out. Then they called the special police, and the special police forcibly confiscated all the villagers' sheep. While the special police were confiscating the sheep, a few young men got into a fight with the officers, attacking them with stones and bricks. That's why the whole village was razed and all the villagers were arrested. This incident shook me deeply. After this event, I decided to insist on retiring. That's all I have to say on this matter. The Communist Party is truly evil.”

According to experts, this testimony provides new data on the systematic cover-up mechanism behind China's "stability maintenance" operations that have been conducted in East Turkestan for years. In particular, the allegations that Uyghur civilians were targeted under the pretext of "counter-terrorism" were also extensively covered in the 2022 report by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
While these testimonies bring China's ethnic cleansing policies to light, unfortunately, humanity does not take action! The Muslim states and nations maintain their silence! This is extremely valuable for us to understand the inner workings of the persecution and suppression policies that the Chinese regime has been carrying out in East Turkestan for years, and how the current system of oppression in the region was founded. Such testimonies must be recorded for both historical memory and international law.
Our ancient East Turkestani Muslim brothers and sisters are being destroyed with mind-boggling schemes!
When will the Turkish and Islamic states and nations raise their voices, when will they say stop to the communist Chinese persecution, do you think?
When?
Under these circumstances, Uyghurs are searching for their children, wives, and siblings.
In addition to their struggle for survival in Turkey and various countries around the world, Uyghur emigrants are fighting for the independence of East Turkestan and to free their own family members from the hands of the Communist Chinese administration.
Recently, Rızvangül Nurmuhammet has been desperately knocking on all doors, especially the UN, to save her brother Mevlana Nurmuhammet from Chinese prisons. Her brother was educated in Turkey, went to East Turkestan, and was arrested there.
For Communist China, coming to Turkey means being a terrorist! He has been imprisoned in Chinese prisons for 9 years. On January 17, 2026, the sentence given to him will expire, and he should be released. Mevlana’s sister is worried; she does not want to face another injustice like her brother not being released. Ms. Rızvangül explains that her brother's child was six months old when he was arrested, and now her nephew is 9 years old, growing up without a father, and she wants her brother to be returned to her.
Ömer Faruh is searching for his two children, his siblings, and his mother and father in Chinese dungeons! He cannot get any information from them. The reason for the arrest of Ömer Faruh’s children and his entire family is that his family was one of the reputable business people of East Turkestan and had started to invest in Turkey. Moreover, Ömer Faruh’s two children, aged 2-3, were taken from their family, and the children are also Turkish citizens! No one is looking, no one is asking! Faruh’s wife spends her days crying in despair, looking at her children's empty cradles!
After Abdurrahman Tohti’s wife, father, and mother were arrested, his 2.5-year-old child is being assimilated as a communist Chinese in communist Chinese camps. Abdurrahman Tohti cries out in despair!
Medine is searching for her brother. Her brother is a Turkish citizen and studied at a university in Turkey. He went to East Turkestan to care for his sick mother. He goes, but he is immediately arrested! His crime, like all Uyghurs, is his connection to terrorism (!). According to the Chinese communist administration, coming to Turkey means you are a terrorist!
Rushan Abbas is searching for her physician sister! Her sister, like others, is imprisoned by the communist Chinese administration on trumped-up charges. Despite Ms. Rushan's years of struggle, the Chinese administration has not released her sister, nor is any information given about her! Rushan Abbas, like other Uyghurs, cannot get any news from her relatives!
And almost all Uyghurs experience the same fate and treatment.
The statements made by some journalists taken from Turkey to China upon their return are a complete betrayal.
While crimes against humanity continue to be committed in East Turkestan, the world is silent, the Muslim Turkish and Islamic world is indifferent and silent!
Consenting to oppression is oppression itself!
Vesselam (And peace).
