SUMMARY: This September 2026 issue (Volume 9, Issue 6) of ISTIQLAL Monthly Journal of Press, published by the East Turkistan Press and Media Association, focuses on the major demonstrations held in Istanbul protesting the 77th anniversary of the Chinese occupation of East Turkestan. The issue highlights the ongoing struggle of over 35 million Turkic people in East Turkestan and the 4 million-strong global Uyghur diaspora facing genocide, strict isolation, and severe suppression of freedom of thought, press, and religion under Chinese Communist Party rule. Through this edition, the press association reaffirms its mission to break through China's information blockade, deliver verified independent journalism, and expose crimes against humanity to the international community.
