Dr. Olsi Jazexhi revealed the truth inside the China's concentration camps at a conference in Istanbul

Dr. Jazexhi and other scholars as well as thousands of audiences at the conference held in Kaya Hotel in Istanbul, September 7 2019.

Dr. Olsi Jazexhi, who is an Albanian Historian and Journalist, said during a conference held on September 7 in Istanbul that I was shocked by the Chinese government's treatment to Uyghurs. He added "The Chinese government indeed trying to erase the culture and religious faith of Uyghur Muslims.“

The conference titled "The China's Concentration Camps: Uyghurs and International Policy" was organised by the Association of East Turkistan Civil Sociaty Organizitions. Along with Dr. Jazexhi, Uyghur Scholars and activistis from several countries like US and Turkey participated the conference . There were also more than a thousand audiences and media reporters here to attend the unusual event.

Olsi Jazexhi, a university lecturer with a PhD in nationalism studies, was selected by China to participate in a conference for journalists in the East Turkistan (known as XUAR, China) from Aug. 16-24, during which he toured several internment camps, where authorities are believed to have held more than 1.5 million Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities accused of harboring “strong religious views” and “politically incorrect” since April 2017.

Dr. Erkin Sidick, a Uyghur optical engineer from NASA, USA, spoke at the conference.

"Before teh visit I thoght that western media reports on China‘s policies in the region were full of bias." Dr. Jazexhi said at the conference, "however, during the visit,   I found that the media reports are true and these facilities are concentration camps or prisons indeed."

More than a thousand audiences attended the conference, including Uyghurs, Turks and wife of Dr. Jazexhi.

“I had positive views regarding China and China’s foreign policy, and sometimes I think that China is treated unfairly by the West,” he told RFA’s Uyghur Service in a recent interview, adding that “this is probably one of the reasons I was selected to participate in this conference.”
