The Global Imams Council is pleased to announce and welcome two prominent Uyghur Imams to its Advisory Committee. 

Imam Alawdun and Imam Dr. AttaAllah were appointed to the Global Imams Council by the recommendation of the World Uyghur Congress. 

Imam Turgunjan Alawdun is a graduate of the Prestigious Al-Azhar University in Egypt and the current representative of the President of the World Uyghur Congress to governments and Islamic Organizations, as well as the Vice President of The Federation of Scholars of East Turkistan.

Imam Dr. Alimjan AttaAllah is a Senior Imam in Turkey who currently serves as Director of the Fatwa Council within The Federation of Scholars of East Turkistan. He is also the manager of Religious Affairs at the World Uyghur Congress and a visiting lecturer at Sochi State University. 

On behalf of the GIC President and Senior Imams Committee, we welcome both honorable Imams who will serve as advisers to the Global Imams council on all matters concerning Uyghur Muslims in China and East Turkistan.
