WUC and UZDM Publish Report Marking Ten Years of the Uyghur Genocide

The World Uyghur Congress (WUC) and Uyghur Center for Democracy and Human Rights (UZDM) has published a new report marking ten years since the beginning of the genocide against the Uyghur people in East Turkistan.

Drawing on survivor testimony, leaked Chinese government documents, satellite imagery, academic research, whistleblower accounts, investigative journalism, and findings from international legal and human rights institutions, the report documents the abuses committed against Uyghurs over the past decade, as well as the international response.

The report also examines how methods of repression have evolved over time and highlights the survival, advocacy, and resistance of the Uyghur people. It argues that while the nature and visibility of the repression have changed, the genocide has not ended and calls for continued international attention and accountability.
